Intensive Classical Ashtanga Yoga Course

It includes a proper grounding in asana, pranayama and meditation and special yogic techniques.
This course includes three sessions a day, including 2 sessions of assanas practice and one session of pranayama, meditation and theory.
Each session lasts for one and a half hours

Pranayama, Meditation and Special & Advanced Yogic Techniques
This course covers Pranayama (sophisticated regulated breathing techniques) and meditation from introductory to advanced levels. Meditations like omkara meditations, so-hum meditations, transcendental meditation, ishtadaiva meditation, vipasana meditation are covered.
We also practice advanced yogic techniques like cyclic meditation, pranic energization technique, yoga nidra, sudarshana kriya, vipassadhana and pranic healing. To some extent these advanced techniques are included in the regular courses but for students who want to go deeper into these techniques to unravel the inner aspects of mind this course will be very usefull. This course is recommended for students who have already progressed in asanas.
Introductory Course
For 1 week a basic and short introduction to yoga

Basic Yoga Asana Course
Duration of a month. A full introduction to basic set of yoga asanas.

Yoga Therapy Treatment
This course is for people with some ailment which can be treated with yoga therapy. The duration would be 1 month to 3 months depending upon the aliment. Yoga therapy with an integrated approach can prove effective for certain ailments used parallel to various medical systems or by itself.
Yoga During Pregnancy and after Childbirth
For a pregnant lady, the course duration will be of 3 -6 months. For Yoga therapists, a course on yoga during pregnancy would be for 15 days
Yoga for Students and for Personality Development
One month to 3 months, Our integrated approach to yoga can be a great help in improving concentration.
Self Management of Excessive Stress
A 2 day program, which we conduct from time to time
Course Details
Per day one and a half hours practice will be there depending upon the course. In Package and Intensive Course two to three sessions will be held.
One can start a course preferably on monday. Sri Jayakumar conducts around 6 classes starting from morning. Sundays are rest days but in special cases classes can be held with prior appointment. Please contact us so that we can fix up timings and the day to start your course.
For the convenience of overseas students we can help in locating rental accommodation.
Shri Jayakumar is fluent in English and Kannada and his classes are conducted in these two languages. He can also manage Russian.
Our center's activities include all aspects of ashtanga yoga like asanas, pranayama and meditation and advanced yogic techniques. Theory classes and library facility is available. Those who complete a minimum of one month course will be issued certificates.
In the case of international students, in special cases schedule of the courses can be adjusted according to your program in Mysore. We get students who are are at different levels- beginners, intermediatary and advanced; and the courses and duration can be tailored to the individual.
Some of our local students are regular over long periods of time as they find our yoga center an excellent environment to practice yoga regularly.
